QUALITY

Our main quality standard is BS EN ISO 9002: 1994 (formerly BS 5750). We have been assessed to the following quality administration systems, standards and guidelines:
BS EN ISO 9002: 1994
The approved quality administration systems apply to the provision of investigation and other related services.

In particular, all letters of instructions are acknowledged on the day the instructions arrive and all investigations are carried out timeously.

In order to maintain quality control, all reports are checked by a partner or, failing that, an associate, prior to being sent to the clients and all video evidence is checked likewise.

All investigators are made aware that they must undertake the investigation in as efficient a manner as possible and as soon as practically possible.

Grant & McMurtrie work within the code of ethics set by the Institute of Professional Investigators and Association of British Investigators and also to guidelines laid down by other clients, including insurance companies. We do not undertake any illegal or unethical practices.

Grant & McMurtrie hold full professional indemnity insurance to the level of £1,000,000. We also hold a Consumer Credit Licence, issued by the Office of Fair Trading, with the number being 332749, and are licensed under the Data Protection Act, registration number X3783429.

It is the intention of Grant & McMurtrie to continually look to the future. We have recently achieved major goals, in that we have purchased our own premises for our head office in Edinburgh and we have invested heavily in equipment, particular surveillance equipment, including digital video cameras, digital still cameras and extensive covert and overt CCTV equipment. We continue to upgrade our technology.

We place maximum emphasis on quality and this has enabled us to achieve BS EN ISO 9002: 1994.

With regard to staff, particularly investigative staff, it is our intention to continue to develop the training of all investigators and for the junior investigators to obtain the necessary vocational qualifications, once they are offered as Scottish Vocational Qualifications.

In the meantime, we have our own training programmes for qualified and trainee investigators. These programmes are of the highest standard and include quarterly assessments and an annual review. We are confident in our own in-house high standards, which are reflected in our client base and in the complimentary correspondence we continually receive from satisfied clients.
